Fabric Selection Criteria
Fabric selection is one of the most important steps in custom sportswear production. The right fabric directly impacts performance, durability, comfort, and overall product quality.
Key factors to consider when selecting fabric include:
- Fabric Type
- Fabric GSM (Grams per Square Meter)
- Color Shade
- Performance Features (Moisture-wicking, Breathability, Stretch, etc.)
- Texture and Hand Feel
For professional and bulk orders, we generally recommend approving a fabric sample prior to production. While international sample shipping may involve additional cost, most professional buyers prefer this step to ensure consistent quality and laboratory-tested performance standards.
Custom Fabric Development
In some cases, clients may request a unique or specialized fabric that is not readily available in stock. Such fabrics may require custom knitting or development, which is feasible primarily for large production volumes (typically 400 pieces or more per fabric type).
For standard and regularly available fabrics, there is no strict minimum quantity requirement, making them suitable for small to medium production runs.
